Understanding the Big Picture

In the hustle & bustle of our day to day lives, it’s incredibly easy to get caught up in  the small details that steadily take away from our ability to see the “big picture”. Losing sight of the overall purpose can lead to many negative outcomes such as anxiety, inefficiency in completing a given task and losing a sense of accomplishment not knowing what the intended overall purpose is.

Having the ability to step back and observe the entire situation is very valuable as it allows us to view the overall purpose of what we are trying to accomplish. Once we can see this higher purpose, it is easier to align the detailed tasks to meet the overall goal. Another added benefit is the sense of calm and control that it can instill within us as we are able to navigate the specifics according to a higher framework.

Here’s something I’ll leave for you to think about:

“In order to attain true appreciation, we need the ability to observe the entire picture to appreciate how the details end up creating beautiful harmony.

Just imagine if someone were to give you a portion of the Mona Lisa painting; how would you ever know the true beauty of the painting without viewing the complete art.” – Irshad Khan

Thanks for reading, I really appreciate it.
