The power of the Human Spirit

A couple of days ago I was at the hospital visiting my grandfather as he was having some health issues. Several hours into my visit, I headed down to the hospital cafeteria to grab a cup of coffee. As I waited for an elevator, I saw this old man pushing an senior wheel chaired lady. When I looked closely at him, I noticed that he did not have his right arm.

This man, after having his right arm removed, still had the power to push this lady’s wheelchair with just his left hand.

This sight got me thinking on how powerful we humans can be despite the adversity we face in life. That man was going through tough times and despite that, he still had the resolve in helping her.

It was a truly an inspiring moment as it shows that no matter how tough the situation can get, we can still continue as long as we have the strength of the human spirit.
